Dr. Millicent Lownes-Jackson is the Associate Dean of the College of Business at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is alsoMLownes.jpg (4354 bytes)columnist, an entrepreneurial youth advocate and an entrepreneur.
Dr. Jackson's specialty areas include female entrepreneurship and youth entrepreneurship.

In addition to preparing college students for business and entrepreneurial success, Dr. Jackson, a well known small business authority, has effectively combined her experience, education and commitment to economic development in designing and implementing over 200 workshops and seminars for government, private and non-profit sectors in the areas of management, marketing and small business. She also has management experience in banking and the corporate sector and is the former Director of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Institute Program in Nashville, TN.

Dr. Jackson has initiated and operated several business ventures. Presently, she is the Founder and CEO of The Interdenominational Services Organization of America, Inc. (a non-profit organization established to foster economic development for youth and women) and is also the President and Founder of A Business Of Your Own (a consulting firm specializing in services for the entrepreneurial woman).
